Signs of Life. Vitalising Literary Studies

Abstract

This article proposes a new way of approaching literature through nomadic philosophy. It considers the importance of bodily engagement with texts as well as affective and intellectual involvement, and commends translation as an intensive form of reading. This vitalistic approach is illustrated with examples from classroom and translation practice.
