About the journal:

The Journal of Dutch Literature is the first English language, peer reviewed journal dedicated to the study of Dutch literature from the Middle Ages to the present day.  It is a platform for contributions of various methodological and theoretical backgrounds. It covers literary phenomena in the Dutch language against the broader perspective of international literary and cultural research.

The Journal of Dutch Literature aims to make the latest research in the field of Dutch literature accessible beyond the Dutch-speaking academic community in order to participate in and contribute to international academic debates. The journal features general, historical, theoretical, interdisciplinary and intercultural articles as well as reviews. The Journal welcomes submissions from all academics whose work involves literature in the Dutch language in the broadest sense.

As of 2014 the journal is being funded by the Scientific Journals Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The journal is published by the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) of the Free University of Berlin, using the Open Journal System (OJS).
